"I need to see my own beauty and to continue to be reminded that I am enough, that I am worthy of love without effort, that I am beautiful, that the texture of my hair and that the shape of my curves, the size of my lips, the colour of my skin, and the feelings that I have are all worthy and okay." -Tracee Ellis Ross

Here are some sources that we can all use to educate ourselves and help the cause.
6 Things we can do to be anti-racist
1) Speak up when family members or friends make racist of stereotypical remarks and jokes.
2) Teach your children and friends to celebrate the differences of humanity by 'seeing colour.' Education makes a huge difference.
3) Acknowledge your privilege and do a routine check up of your biases. We all have them.
4) Read books to your children or to yourself that promote diversity - authors and characters.
5) Learn About Black History in your respective countries and in general.
6) Listen to the stories of BIPOC and do your own research.
Here are two sources for educational sources. Some are for children and some are for adults. We all can make a difference. This is a world problem, not a US one.

One thing I have seen become a problem in lock down life is the expectation that you are always on call or that you have to always answer a message because what else are you doing? It is okay to let go of over scheduling your life. It is perfectly okay to still not want to be constantly answering calls or messages. You have to choose yourself at times, and that is perfectly okay. Take time for self-care. Office hours should still be the same as they were before you worked from home. Your mental and physical health are more important than that extra zoom meeting you have accepted because you are scared of saying no. Be realistic with time and your mental and physical health. Take care of both equally.
