The Black Lives Matter may have left the main stream news in the UK, but social media and many people are keeping the movement going and making policies and laws to help to fight for Freedom, Liberation and Justice. Each and every day, I have been reading new articles from many different resources to keep myself learning and proactive. If you want to learn more about the movement, question your biases, or make a contribution to the movement, please check out this link for many resources: Black Lives Matter
I grew up in a country that prides itself for being the rainbow nation (South Africa), but yet racism has a stronghold in the country to this day. It is sad to see it, but I know that even my little bit is making a difference even just in my family. We have to start somewhere. It is not only a US problem, in every country you will not be hard pressed to notice how racism plays a role in many aspects. Anti-Oppression: Anti-Racism was my read for today. I want to encourage everyone to take a moment to spend some time listening to people of colour stories or articles.
